Everything seems to go downhill after the elections.
Firstly, the taxi fares increased. Is effect is snowballing. Now like 3 major taxi companies raised their prices liao lor... Oil prices are not a good reason to raise price as tt cost is taken by the cab-drivers. And this increase is gonna hit their wallets. The more $$$ per distance travelled is still ok. Tt alone shlda covered the fuel prices. But the extra 1 dollar at peak hour really pisses me off. Now we *have* to pay 2 dollars extra at peak hours. I find this kinda price is absurd. Are they trying to rip us off? It also doesnt help tt they made the peak hour earlier by 30 minutes. Lidat is like to earn the money of ppl who are unexpectedly gonna be late. If ur late, u wont prolly have much choice but to take a cab. Those manipulative taxi companies...trying to earn more money huh?? It might be little but from now on, im gonna boycott taxis.
Next is the appalling lack of journalistic freedom. Not sure if many ppl noe abt this but a mr brown's column at Today has been suspended. Why because of inappropriate sarcasm. Its just light suaning only la!! If there is a truly neutral newspaper in Singapore, it would prolly fold in a week cos of the lawsuits it kena.
The thing tt pisses me off the most = crazy bullshit frm the govt rep from MICA =

Then for what use is the press for, parroting the government, social control over the people or overburdening the puny minds of citizens wif pointless trivia?? Way to go for a first world citizenry. Our minds being engineered by the govt. And the statement above is flawed. Try reading the papers and you will understand. And the partin shot of the govt rep is downright amusing. Calling him to come out from his online persona. Hello?? I think he has his personal pics and details on his blogs la... ANd amazing lack of research. How much are we paying them again? Just peanuts right?( or more than tt?)
Downright depressing. Im gonna earn a lot of money and get a "get out of jail free" card next time. Changing the way things are now is gonna be extremely difficult. Close to impossible.
